Omaha Federal Credit Union offers extremely quick turnaround time on all Student Loans, and applying for an OFCU Student Loan is simple:
Once we receive your certified application, we will expedite your application and your check will be sent directly to the school. A Credit Union Student Loan, helps with the high cost of a higher education.
- Get an application. Pick up your Stafford, Student Loan Supplement (SLS), or Parent Loan for Students (PLUS) application at any Credit Union office or call us at (402) 399-9001 or toll-free at 1-800-660-7350 to receive your application by mail.
- Complete and return your application to the school, which certifies your eligibility.
- Once we receive the completed application from the school, we will begin processing your loan. Checks are then sent directly to your school.
Effective July 1, 2006 both the Federal Stafford Loans and Federal PLUS/SLS Loans have fixed rates.
Loans disbursed prior to July 1, 2006 will remain at the variable rate, as of July 1, 2007 the variable rate is 6.62% and repayment is 7.22%. Fixed rate is 8.50%.

- 8.50% for PLUS Loans
