Credit monitoring is a valued, desirable security service for credit union members. Many
members use free annual credit reports as a means of monitoring their credit in an effort to
detect fraud, and it works! But did you know that if you became a victim of fraud, more
frequent monitoring, like the daily monitoring available with AlertMe, may potentially
reduce your out-of-pocket expenses and may reduce potential fraud losses by as much as
50% or more? Click on the AlertMe button to learn more or to subscribe to this service.Gain Added Security
With The AlertMe ProgramIdentity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. Almost 10 million Americans were identity theft victims in 2003 alone. Whether it’s phishing, dumpster diving, or phone scams, thieves are out to steal your identity and your credit profile. So how can you protect yourself?
One of the ways is by enrolling in a credit monitoring service. Omaha Federal Credit Union is pleased to offer our members the AlertMe Consumer Credit Monitoring Service.
Through the AlertMe service you will receive:
- Daily monitoring of your credit bureau file.
- E-mail notification of posted credit activity, such as new accounts, credit inquiries or address changes.
- Monthly reassurance notification if no suspicious activity has occurred.
- Online access to credit reports and scores.
- A yearly reminder to order your free annual credit report. (Experts recommend that you review your credit report regularly. AlertMe makes it easy.)
- Identity theft insurance ($25,000 of coverage) should you become a victim of identity theft.
- Additional peace of mind.
This type of service is being offered by other local financial institutions for as much as $9.95 per month. But OFCU’s AlertMe service is only $4.25 per month.
Make The Most Of Your Money
With Our Bump Up Certificate ProgramHave you been thinking about investing in an OFCU Share Certificate but don’t want to give up your flexibility in the event rates go up? Then OFCU has great news for you. We’ve introduced a new program called the “Bump Up” Certificate that’s available on both new and renewed certificates.
With our “Bump Up” Certificate program, you have a one-time opportunity to “bump-up” to a higher rate during the term of your certificate. Now you can say good-bye to the prospect of being stuck with a “below market rate” on your investment.
And with any of OFCU’s certificates, you also have the flexibility to add additional funds to your certificate at any time during the term of your investment. Check OFCU’s current rates online or stop by any of our seven locations for a rate sheet.
