Santa and Mrs. Claus visited Omaha Federal Credit Union’s Main Branch on Nov. 22. Many children and their families as well as OFCU employees sat with the jolly Santa to reveal their secret holiday wishes, upon which Santa wished them a very Merry Christmas and gave them a yummy candy cane. Mrs. Claus then handed out Christmas goodie bags to the children as they exited. Santa was played by member Tory Ewing and Mrs. Claus was played by Tory’s wife and member, Jean.
Attendees were asked to bring a NEW, unwrapped item from Project Harmony’s WISH LIST. All proceeds of this community service campaign benefited OFCU’s Toys for Project Harmony campaign which ended Dec. 10, 2025. During the Toys for Project Harmony campaign, members and visitors donated monetary funds and/or toys/gifts to any of our four branches to help light up children’s smiling faces during the holidays!
As children and young adults restore their courage, facilitate healing and become more empowered at Project Harmony, they will continue to recapture more and more joy within their lives. And this cause is one way and one step closer toward helping Project Harmony fill their on-site Toy Closet which, in turn, provides children (toddlers-thru-teens) as well as caregivers with comfort items such as fleece blankets, stuffed animals, toys and clothes.
Project Harmony’s mission statement is: To protect and support children, collaborate with professionals and engage the community to end child abuse and neglect.
